My passion is creating sanctuaries - helping others achieve the vision of their perfect home. I use the word sanctuary because I truly believe that’s what our homes are intended to be - the one place where we feel loved, joyful and safe.

Melissa Gray

Our homes are so much more than just buildings where we spend much of our time - they’re the place where we make a life (and for many of us these days that includes our work life), create memories, share meals and laughter with loved ones, and even cry when our hearts are broken. Our homes have the ability to make our hearts smile when we walk in the door - or leave us feeling empty and longing for more if we don’t take the time to create a true sanctuary, one that nourishes our body, mind and soul.

I’m also a passionate animal advocate and enthusiastic dog (and cat) mom. If you have fur kids, I can help you design with their comfort and joy (and your sanity) in mind - by selecting fur friendly furniture, textiles and accessories!

My background is a winding road that always leads back to my love for all things interior design! I began in public relations but soon realized that what I loved most was designing unique events for corporate and non-profit clients. So I went back to school and studied interior design at the Seattle Art Institute and then went on to learn everything I could about decorative painting at The Faux Finish Institute. After building up a thriving decorative painting and design business in Charleston, SC everything came to an abrupt halt with the housing market crash in 2008. I began designing jewelry but realized that as much as I loved creating special pieces for my clients, there was an emptiness in my heart. When my husband and I started our 7th major renovation in 2018 I realized that I’d been longing to get back into interior design and helping others create their ideal home. When a friend asked if I could help with designing a Zen Room in her Florida home, I decided that edesign was my next step as I could work from my own sanctuary and best of all, I can help others no matter their location!

If you need help with creating your own authentic sanctuary, I’d love to chat (you can also learn more by clicking here) - and if you’re already in love with your home, I hope you’ll follow me on social media and my blog so we can share ideas and inspiration!

Many blessings!
