“If there’s a heaven for me, I’m sure there’s a beach attached”

Jimmy Buffet

When Kim and Ryan bought their first home, they both wanted a bright and airy space - a place they could relax together and also entertain friends and family. They love the beach and a more modern style, so they selected their favorite painting as the inspiration for their main living area. But they needed help fine tuning their vision - and combining their tastes and desires for their sanctuary! After filling out the questionnaire they discovered that while Kim loved bright bold colors, Ryan had a fairly low color tolerance. Ryan’s first priority for a new sofa was that it be comfortable to sprawl out on, while Kim wanted a sleek design.

By collaborating with both Kim and Ryan, a rich bold tangerine was chosen for the focal wall - bright enough to make Kim’s heart sing and not too overpowering for Ryan’s tastes. The couple selected a sofa together and slowly added other pieces based on the style design board. They fell in love with the turquoise lamp on the board - and patiently waited for it to go on sale! They stripped the old wallpaper in the dining room and kitchen and painted the walls a soothing creamy white - the perfect backdrop as they begin collecting artwork and accessories.
