This sweet girl was dumped at a shelter in South Carolina when her family decided they no longer wanted her after 8 years of using her for breeding. Thankfully Waters Edge Great Dane Rescue stepped up to save her. When a volunteer picked her up, Freckles was extremely depressed and withdrawn. During her ‘freedom ride’ the volunteer kept talking to Freckles and giving her lots of pets and rubs. By the end of the ride, Freckles was glued to the volunteer - long story short, Freckles knew she’d found her forever mom! Although the volunteer wasn’t planning on adopting or even fostering Freckles, she took her home and after several weeks, Freckles really blossomed as she began her happy new beginning with her forever family! Freckles loves all of her family including her fur siblings but she’s definitely a mama’s girl! And now, at 11 years young, she’s still going strong and loving life in Charleston where she’s cherished every day.
